Job Description
Appleton Group is seeking a strategic and execution-focused Director of Revenue Operations to lead the development and execution of a revenue operations framework that accelerates growth, scales performance, and drives commercial excellence.
The Revenue Operations function connects critical external stakeholders including customers, channel partners and sales representatives with the internal Appleton organization. This role is accountable for building the operational backbone to drive commercial success—optimizing engagement processes, delivering consistent customer experiences, and enabling data-driven decisions. By enhancing how we operate across the full customer lifecycle, the Director will ensure executional rigor and cross-functional alignment.
Reporting to the President, the Director will translate strategic priorities into operational outcomes, partnering with senior collaborators to generate near-term results and support long-term revenue and business performance.
In This Role, Your Responsibilities will include:
Pricing
- Define and implement pricing strategies, guidelines, and approval thresholds to meet price realization targets
- Pricing effectiveness and compliance across channels, identifying and implementing continuous improvement initiatives to grow sales, and improve price realization and margins
Inside Sales, Technical Support and Customer Care
- Act as the Voice of the Customer in the organization, and ensure consistent, high-quality customer interactions from order entry to post-sale support, enabling excellent customer experience
- Lead the end-to-end quotation process from opportunity intake through quote submission
- Align inside sales activities with broader commercial objectives - supporting funnel development, account engagement, and sales efficiency
Business Intelligence:
- Drive sales growth and operational improvements by identifying and prioritizing opportunities through analysis of internal data, assessment of customer and channel performance, customer and channel segmentation, and incorporation of market trends
- Drive implementation, and adoption of commercial and business intelligence tools such as CRM, DOMO/PowerBI to boost efficiency, enable real-time performance tracking, and improve forecasting and funnel management
Data Governance
- Establish and maintain data governance standards, policies, and procedures for Oracle ERP, and workflow processes for new item creation and updates to active items.
- Define ownership and accountability for critical business data; Establish standardized definitions for key metrics, KPIs, and business terminology
E-Commerce
- Own the Appleton Group Access Sales Portal including:
- Improvement of US Sales Portal based on assessment of performance metrics and input from internal and external customers
- Expansion of Sales Portal to include Canada
- Maintain and expand the exchange of information with channel partners through Electronic Data Interchange (EDI)
- Collaborate with the IT team, who own technical software/systems delivery, to achieve the above objectives

For This Role, You Will Need:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of relevant years of progressive experience in Revenue Operations, Sales Operations, or associated subject areas, with confirmed leadership experience commensurate with the level of this position
- Expertise in driving operational alignment across Sales, Marketing, and Operations organizations
- Solid understanding of sales processes, pricing techniques, channel oversight, and customer lifecycle management in industrial or technology-related sectors
- Highly analytical with strong data-driven decision-making capabilities
- Proficient in CRM systems (i.e. Salesforce), business intelligence tools, and revenue enablement platforms
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills
- Consistent record of driving process improvements and scalable operational models
- Strong change leadership skills with the ability to thrive in fast-paced, dynamic settings
- Le gal authorization to work in the United States (sponsorship is not available for this position).

Our compensation philosophy is simple: we pay a competitive base salary, within the local market in which we operate, and reward performance during our annual merit review process. The salary range for this role is $160,000 - $190,000 annually, commensurate with the skills, talent, capabilities, and experience each candidate brings to a role.
