An established and growing Australian agribusiness is looking for a commercially astute and highly adaptable CFO to partner with the CEO and Board through its next phase of growth.
This is a broad leadership role for someone who sees the CFO function as much more than finance — someone who enjoys understanding the whole business, challenging thinking, solving problems and bringing people together around better commercial decisions.
You’ll have influence across Finance, Commercial, Operations, Planning, Procurement and IT, while playing a key role in strategic initiatives including funding, investment and M&A.
The Opportunity
Reporting directly to the CEO and Board, you will be a trusted commercial adviser and an important voice in the organisation’s strategic direction.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Finance & Performance: Lead Group Finance, planning, forecasting, reporting and governance.
- Commercial: Drive commercial insight, profitability and working capital improvement.
- Treasury & Funding: Oversee cash flow, banking, funding and liquidity.
- Strategy & Growth: Partner with the CEO on M&A, investment and strategic initiatives.
- Operations: Oversee IT, Sales & Operational Planning and Procurement.
- People: Lead and develop a team of seven, building a high-performing finance function.
About You
We’re looking for more than a technically strong finance leader. You’ll be high EQ, commercially minded, adaptable, proactive,with the ability to build trusted relationships, challenge constructively and navigate a complex and evolving environment.
You’ll bring a diverse portfolio of experience, strong commercial judgement and the ability to move seamlessly between strategic thinking and operational detail.

Key Experience
- Senior finance leadership experience at CFO, Finance Director, Deputy CFO or equivalent level.
- CA (preferred), CPA or equivalent professional qualification.
- Broad finance leadership experience within a complex commercial environment.
- Strong corporate finance, treasury, funding and banking experience.
- Experience with cash flow, funding facilities and covenant management.
- M&A experience, including financial modelling, due diligence and integration.
- Proven experience partnering with a CEO, Board and senior leadership team.
