About the Role
PaleBlueDot AI is seeking a CFO – Capital Markets to lead the company’s fundraising and capital-markets activities. This role will focus on capital strategy, equity and debt financing, investor relations, and infrastructure financing.
This position will not manage the accounting team or day-to-day finance operations.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the company’s capital strategy.
- Lead equity, debt, equipment, and infrastructure financing.
- Build relationships with investors, banks, private-credit funds, and strategic capital partners.
- Lead fundraising preparation, due diligence, negotiation, and closing.
- Develop investor presentations and communicate the company’s growth strategy.
- Advise the CEO and Board on capital structure, financing options, and market conditions.
- Build and lead the Capital Markets team.
- Partner with Finance, Legal, and Infrastructure teams on transactions.
Qualifications
- 12+ years of experience in capital markets, investment banking, private credit, infrastructure finance, or corporate development.
- Proven experience leading significant equity or debt transactions.
- Strong relationships with institutional investors, lenders, and other capital providers.
- Experience in technology, cloud, data centers, AI infrastructure, or another capital-intensive industry.
- Strong negotiation, financial-modelling, and executive-communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or CFA preferred.
Preferred Experience
- AI infrastructure, GPU cloud, data-center, or cloud-computing experience.
- Equipment financing, asset-backed lending, or infrastructure-financing experience.
- Experience working with U.S. and international investors.
