We are conducting a search for an experienced Chief Financial Officer / Controller to join a well-established, asset-based third-party logistics and warehouse carrier.
This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned finance professional with a strong accounting foundation and executive-level financial leadership experience in transportation, logistics, and warehousing. The successful candidate will oversee financial operations, lead the accounting, and finance team, and partner with operational leadership to support continued business growth and profitability.
Responsibilities:
- Overseeing financial operations across transportation, brokerage, warehousing, and distribution.
- Managing Controller and accounting/finance staff.
- Financial planning budgeting, forecasting, and cash-flow management.
- Financial reporting, accounting controls, and performance analysis.
- Supporting operational leaders with financial insights and business decisions.
- Helping guide financial strategy through continued growth.
Qualifications:
- At least five years of executive-level financial experience within the transportation, logistics, or warehousing industry.
- A well-established background in financial management and accounting oversight.
- Strong knowledge of month-end close, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial controls.
- Experience in managing and developing accounting and finance personnel.
- Demonstrated ability to manage cash flow, working capital, and capital requirements.
- Experience partnering with operational leaders to improve financial performance and support business decisions.
- Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- The ability to balance hands-on financial oversight with strategic, executive-level responsibilities.
Compensation: Competitive base salary plus bonus, commensurate with experience, seniority, and scope of responsibilities.
