Sales Operations Manager (Performance & Compensation) - HYBRID

World renowned medical devices / diagnostics manufacturer (multi-billion dollar - Fortune 500).

In this role you'll manage a team and be accountable for serving the incentive compensation needs of the business including supporting ad-hoc on-demand analysis and reporting.

This is a critical leadership role that will have the charge to lead and develop a team of performance and compensation analysts. The team will focus on maximizing the commercial value of our incentive programs and working collaboratively with IT to further develop applications (Callidus, SAP, Microsoft Power BI) supporting performance compensation. It is critical in this leadership role to be committed to detail and highly organized to assure compensation payments and processes are executed on time and correctly.

This leader will be expected to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams across the organization and strike the right balance and tone managing multiple internal stakeholders. This is a hybrid work environment with the expectation to be in office 2-3 days per week with flexibility according to business needs.

Responsibilities:

Compensation administration and analysis including ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of sales incentive payments to the sales organization with supporting KPIs
Lead compensation plan design aligned to the business needs and own the delivery – including training – to the commercial sales team
Circulate for approval / sign off and submit to payroll, and create / distribute pay statements
Ensure standard work specific to incentive compensation, analytics and reporting is developed, implemented and continuously improved across commercial processes
Demonstrated strong communication skill set at all levels of the organization and a discipline to detail is a must to identify root cause, architect sustainable solutions, and communicate effectively
Lead, on-board, and develop direct reports to promote talent development, associate engagement, and career progression
Makes certain all critical business reports for incentive compensation are generated on a timely basis and delivered to the appropriate commercial users at the right time and in the right format
Identify, lead, and work with 3rd party subject matter experts in collaboration with IT function as needed to support delivery of key commercial initiatives – e.g., Callidus, SAP, Microsoft Power BI
Strikes the right balance of meeting the current needs of commercial organization and thoughtfully working to improve the long-term effectiveness and approach to meeting commercial needs

Desired Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (i.e., Marketing, Business, Accounting, Finance, Education, Communications, Laboratory Technology, Biology, etc.)
2+ years managerial experience
4+ years of demonstrated success in medical diagnostics or life sciences industries
5+ years experience in utilizing application tools to drive commercial performance (e.g., Callidus)
Working knowledge of order processing, financial systems (e.g., SAP)
Understanding of the diagnostic marketplace
Advanced Excel skills (e.g., high comfort level with consolidating and joining data, creating formulas, macro development) and other analytical tools like Microsoft Power BI
Strong Visual Basic and/or SQL coding a plus
