Exploring the role:
- We are seeking an experienced and highly analytical Manager, Data Operations to lead the sourcing, cleansing, enrichment, and uploading of target account and contact data into Salesforce. As an Individual Contributor, you will be responsible for building a high-quality database of target hotel accounts and ICP contacts, solving complex data challenges using advanced tools like Python, and ensuring the integrity and usability of the data to drive sales and marketing success.
- This role demands a proactive problem solver with expertise in data manipulation, advanced matching algorithms, and a strong understanding of Salesforce and data governance practices.
How your day will look like/Job responsibility:
Data Sourcing & Enrichment:
- Source hotel account and contact data from multiple databases, third-party vendors, and other sources. Enrich data by appending fields like ADR (Average Daily Rate), account segmentation, and key contact ICP information.
Advanced Data Matching & Standardization:
- Solve entity resolution challenges by developing and implementing logic and algorithms (e.g., fuzzy matching, NLP) to match accounts and contacts across disparate sources with variations in names and attributes. Build and execute scripts in Python or other advanced tools to automate data cleanup and matching processes.
Salesforce Data Management:
- Oversee the upload of cleaned and enriched data into Salesforce, ensuring compliance with account hierarchy, segmentation, and field mapping standards. Perform regular data quality audits, deduplication, and data governance checks to maintain database integrity.
Data Automation & Tool Development:
- Create reusable scripts or tools using Python, APIs, or SQL to streamline sourcing, processing, and updating workflows. Leverage tools like Pandas, NumPy, or other frameworks for advanced data manipulation.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Partner with sales, marketing, and RevOps teams to align on ICP definitions, segmentation, and database priorities. Act as the go-to expert for data quality, structure, and reporting requirements.
Analytics & Reporting:
- Develop dashboards and reports to measure database health, track progress, and identify gaps in the target accounts and contact database. Provide actionable insights to optimize sales and marketing targeting strategies.
Education & Work Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in data management, analytics, or CRM administration (Salesforce experience required).
Knowledge:
- Strong expertise in Python for data manipulation, fuzzy matching, and automation.
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with data processing libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy).
- Experience with text-based similarity matching, entity resolution, or machine learning techniques for data cleanup is highly preferred.
- Deep knowledge of Salesforce data structures, tools (e.g., Data Loader, deduplication tools), and data governance best practices.
- Familiarity with data cleaning tools such as OpenRefine, Alteryx, or similar platforms.
- Experience in B2B SaaS or the hospitality/travel industry is a strong plus.
