Financial planning
- Create and implement financial plans
- Manage cash flow
- Research revenue opportunities
- Identify cost-saving opportunities
- Manage the capital structure
- Determine the mix of debt, equity, and internal financing
Risk management Identify and manage risk, Predict and mitigate the effects of a business crisis, and Put prevention measures in place.
Compliance
- Ensure compliance with company policies and the law
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations
Reporting
- Present and report accurate and timely financial information
- Communicate value and risk issues to investors and boards
- Ensure the company's financial reports are accurate
Other responsibilities
- Manage a team of financial personnel
- Handle relationships with key vendors
- Oversee the technology and software for the finance team
- Advise on long-term financial and business plans
