Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
The CFO will serve as a key strategic partner to the leadership team, driving the financial strategy, operations, and growth of the organization. This executive leader will focus on enhancing financial performance, scaling operations, and enabling the company to meet ambitious growth and investment goals, including IPO readiness. The ideal candidate brings a wealth of experience in IPO planning and execution, private equity management, banking relations, and fundraising.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Financial Leadership
● Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the company’s long-term objectives.
● Provide actionable insights on financial performance, risks, and opportunities to drive decision-making.
● Identify and seek new growth prospects to support business expansion and shareholder value.
IPO Planning and Execution
● Lead all aspects of IPO preparation, planning, and execution.
● Ensure regulatory compliance and coordinate with external stakeholders, including investment bankers, auditors, and regulatory bodies.
Private Equity & Fundraising
● Oversee private equity relationships and manage fundraising activities.
● Develop and maintain robust relationships with investors, financial institutions, and key stakeholders.
Financial Reporting, Compliance, and Risk Management
● Ensure accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting.
● Oversee audits, taxation, and corporate governance practices.
● Monitor financial performance, measure and analyze results, and recommend corrective actions to improve profitability.
Cashflow Management
● Strengthen and expand banking relationships to optimize financial operations, capital structuring, and funding.
● Oversee cash fl ow, liquidity, working capital management, and treasury functions.
Capital Raising & Investor Relations
● Manage fundraising efforts, including angel investments, venture capital rounds, and private equity engagements.
● Build and maintain relationships with investors, and other financial stakeholders.
● Prepare compelling pitch decks, financial models, and due diligence documentation.
Investment Banking & M&A Support
● Lead M&A initiatives, including target identification, due diligence, negotiation, and integration.
● Collaborate with investment bankers on deal structuring, term sheets, and valuation analyses.
● Oversee financial due diligence for investment opportunities, acquisitions, and partnerships.
Budgeting, FP&A, and Cost Control
● Design and oversee robust financial planning and analysis (FP&A) frameworks.
● Develop annual budgets and monitor adherence, ensuring financial discipline across departments.
● Implement cost control measures to optimize margins and operational efficiency.
Valuation and Due Diligence
● Conduct business valuations, including discounted cash flow (DCF), comparables, and precedent transaction analyses.
● Lead comprehensive due diligence processes for potential investments or divestments.
Team Leadership and Operational Excellence
● Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing finance team.
● Implement system enhancements to ensure scalability and operational efficiency.
● Foster a culture of accountability, excellence, and innovation within the finance function.
Key Qualifications & Skills:
● Education:
○ Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification is preferred.
○ Master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration (MBA), or a related fi eld. .
○ Certifications such as CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) or CMA (Certified Management Accountant) are advantageous.
● Experience:
○ Proven track record in IPO execution and private equity management.
○ Extensive experience in corporate banking, fundraising, and financial strategy, particularly in the manufacturing sector.
○ Minimum 15 years of progressive financial leadership roles.
● Skills:
○ Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
○ Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
○ Expertise in cash flow management, forecasting, and reporting.
○ advanced financial modeling and valuation techniques, including DCF, LBO, and multiples.
○ In-depth knowledge of corporate finance, accounting principles, and financial forecasting
