We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Chief Sales Officer (CSO) to drive strategic sales, revenue growth, and global business expansion focused in the BFSI sector. The CSO will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies, building high-performing teams, and fostering strong relationships with key stakeholders to achieve business objectives and market penetration for Imperative’s BPO & KPO verticals. The role demands a strategic leader who can develop and execute a robust sales strategy, forge high-value partnerships, and expand our footprint across key global markets, including India, the USA, EMEA, and APAC.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sales leadership within the BFSI industry (India & International), deep market knowledge, and the ability to navigate a competitive landscape.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy Development:
- Define and implement the overall sales strategy for the BFSI vertical, aligning with the company’s vision and goals.
- Identify new business opportunities, market trends, and customer needs to drive revenue growth.
- Develop and execute innovative sales plans to expand market share and achieve sales targets.
Team Leadership:
- Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing sales team, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
- Develop and execute a high-impact sales strategy to drive revenue for BPO & KPO services.
- Set clear performance metrics and KPIs for the sales team, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
- Provide coaching, training, and development opportunities to enhance team capabilities.
Client Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders in the BFSI sector.
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients, understanding their needs and delivering tailored solutions.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
- Drive renewals, upselling, and cross-selling opportunities.
Revenue Growth:
- Drive revenue growth by identifying and capitalizing on cross-selling and up-selling opportunities.
- Monitor sales performance, analyze data, and implement corrective actions to achieve targets.
- Collaborate with marketing, product, and operations teams to ensure seamless execution of sales strategies.
Market Intelligence:
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes in the BFSI sector.
- Leverage market insights to refine sales strategies and maintain a competitive edge.
Global Market Expansion:
- Expand Imperative’s BPO & KPO services across North America, EMEA, and APAC.
- Establish offshore and nearshore delivery centers based on client needs and market potential.
- Strengthen partnerships with global system integrators, technology providers, and business process outsourcing buyers.
Budget Management:
- Oversee the sales budget, ensuring optimal allocation of resources to achieve business goals.
- Monitor expenses and ensure cost-effective sales operations.
Reporting and Analytics:
- Provide regular sales performance reports to the CEO and senior management.
- Use data-driven insights to make informed decisions and improve sales effectiveness.
Industry Positioning & Thought Leadership:
- Represent Imperative at global industry events, conferences, and networking forums.
- Develop go-to-market strategies for emerging service lines in AI, ML, RPA, and business process automation.
- Stay ahead of market trends and competitive landscape to refine business strategies.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field. MBA or equivalent advanced degree is preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum of 15+ years of experience in sales, with at least 8-10 years in a leadership role within the BFSI sector.
- Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets in a competitive environment.
- Strong understanding of BFSI products, services, and market dynamics.
