Revenue Operations Specialist

POSITION OVERVIEW/
1Valet is seeking a detail-oriented, highly organized, and data-driven individual to join our team as a Revenue Operations Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for collaborating with multiple departments including Sales, Finance, Operations, and Technical Project Managers to ensure accurate forecasting, efficient collections, and seamless project administration. You will play a critical role in ensuring that we meet our revenue targets and maintain smooth financial operations across hardware and subscription revenue streams.

RESPONSIBILITIES/
Revenue Forecasting and Tracking:
Work closely with Sales and Technical Project Managers to ensure we hit our hardware revenue targets.
Collaborate with Finance to track and forecast subscription revenue accurately.
Analyze historical data, sales trends, and market conditions to create accurate revenue forecasts.
Generate detailed reports on forecast accuracy and provide actionable insights to leadership.
Project Administration and Sales Orders:
Work with Finance, Sales, and Operations teams to ensure the creation and processing of projects and sales orders are aligned with specific deal requirements.
Assist in managing the project lifecycle from initiation to delivery, ensuring project budgets and timelines align with revenue goals.
Coordinate between teams to ensure project and order creation is timely, accurate, and efficient.
Cash Collection and Timeliness:
Partner with Finance and Operations to track and ensure cash collection within expected timelines.
Monitor outstanding accounts receivable and ensure that payments are collected promptly and in accordance with terms.
Generate reports on the status of cash collections and identify potential issues or delays.
Data Management and Insights:
Manage large volumes of data in Excel or Google Sheets, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
Use advanced Excel or Google Sheets functions (e.g., pivot tables, formulas, charts) to generate insights and identify trends.
Provide regular updates and reports to stakeholders regarding revenue performance, project progress, and cash collection status.
Collaboration Across Teams:
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Finance, Operations, and Technical Project Managers, to ensure effective communication and alignment on revenue goals and project status.
Act as a liaison between departments to ensure accurate information flow and resolve any discrepancies or delays.
System Knowledge and Reporting:
Leverage systems like NetSuite (or similar ERP systems) to track and manage revenue data, project details, and sales orders.
Use system reports to extract relevant data and provide insights for decision-making.
Ensure all data entered into systems is up-to-date and accurately reflects the current state of projects and revenue.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Detail-Oriented: Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in revenue forecasting, data entry, and reporting.
- Analytical & Data-Driven: Comfort working with large datasets, proficient in Excel or Google Sheets, with the ability to extract valuable insights and trends.
- Experience with Revenue Management: Experience in revenue forecasting, financial tracking, and collections, preferably in a tech or project-based environment.
- System Knowledge: Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP systems for financial tracking and project management.
- Collaboration Skills: Ability to work with cross-functional teams (Sales, Finance, Operations, Project Managers) to align on goals and timelines.
- Communication: Strong communication skills to effectively present data-driven insights and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
- Problem-Solving: Proactive in identifying potential issues and finding solutions to ensure targets and timelines are met.
QUALIFICATION/
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in project management or administration, especially in a revenue-focused role.
- Familiarity with subscription-based revenue models and hardware sales is a plus.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros) or Google Sheets for data analysis.
- Experience with financial and CRM systems (NetSuite, HubSpot,Salesforce, etc.).
