Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer to lead our financial strategy, operations, and compliance programs. The CFO will be responsible for financial planning and analysis, capital allocation, risk management, and working closely with executive leadership to drive sustainable growth. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in regulated technology sectors, with familiarity in biomedical and aerospace environments and a track record of building scalable finance organizations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute financial strategy aligned with the companys business objectives and growth plan.
- Oversee all financial operations including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, cash management, and financial reporting.
- Lead financial planning & analysis (FP&A) to provide timely insights and recommendations to the executive team and Board of Directors.
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory, tax, and reporting requirements across industries served (e.g., FDA, FAA, and other relevant authorities).
- Manage investor relations, capital raising efforts, banking relationships, and debt/equity financing activities.
- Guide mergers, acquisitions, partnerships, and divestitures including due diligence, valuation, and integration planning.
- Implement and maintain robust internal controls, risk management frameworks, and corporate governance practices.
- Build, mentor, and scale a high-performing finance and accounting team; implement systems and processes to improve efficiency (ERP, financial close, controls).
- Collaborate with R&D, operations, quality, and engineering teams to align financial plans with product development and manufacturing roadmaps in biomedical and aerospace programs.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- CPA, CFA, or equivalent professional accounting credential preferred.
- Minimum 10+ years of progressive finance leadership experience, with prior experience as a CFO, VP of Finance, or equivalent in high-growth companies.
- Demonstrated experience in regulated industries; strong preference for candidates with biomedical and/or aerospace industry experience.
- Experience with CETEC systems, quality-compliance frameworks, or similar technical compliance tools is a plus.
- Proven track record in capital raising, investor relations, M&A transactions, and strategic financial planning.
- Deep knowledge of GAAP, financial controls, treasury management, tax planning, and regulatory reporting.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills; ability to influence at the board and executive levels.
- Comfortable operating in fast-paced, high-innovation environments and translating technical program needs into financial strategy.
