They are seeking a dynamic and experienced Chief Sales Officer (CSO) to lead their sales organization, drive revenue growth, and execute on the go-to-market strategy. This is a critical role reporting directly to the CEO, collaborating closely with the COO, CFO, and other key leaders.

Job DescriptionThe ideal candidate is a proven VP of Sales or CSO with a strong track record in the HCM industry, including experience managing multiple sales teams. The CSO will focus efforts across 4 key strategy levers:
- Strategic LeadershipDevelop and implement a scalable sales strategy aligned with aggressive growth targets, focusing on strong ARR bookings and profitable expansion.
- Team DevelopmentLead, coach, and mentor sales leaders and reps, cultivating a high-performance culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Revenue GrowthDrive pipeline generation, improve conversion rates, and ensure predictable revenue outcomes through effective forecasting and performance management.
- Partnership & CollaborationCollaborate closely with marketing, SDRs, and client success to optimize lead flow, strengthen brand positioning, and develop key channel partner relationships.
Requirements
- 10+ years of progressive sales leadership experience within the HCM, Payroll, or HR Tech industry, including experience at both enterprise-level organizations and smaller, high-growth companies.
- Proven ability to lead sales teams to achieve consistent, profitable revenue growth, ideally within a recurring revenue business model.
- Deep understanding of B2B sales, demand generation, outbound prospecting, and referral/partner-based revenue strategies.
Location: This is a hybrid position where ideal candidates will be based in the
Greater New England area with the ability to meet with customers and partners 3x/month in the Greater Boston market. Flexible for the right candidate based outside of the market with the ability to get to Boston 1x/month.
Base Salary: $200,000 - $250,000
Total Comp: $400,000 - $500,000 + stock
