The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will play a pivotal role in driving the financial strategy, operational efficiency, and overall business performance. This role will lead the development and execution of financial planning, reporting, and risk management, while also overseeing key operational initiatives.
In partnership with the senior leadership team, the CFO will ensure alignment between financial goals and strategic business objectives, optimise resources, mitigate risks, and drive sustainable growth. The role combines financial stewardship with operational leadership to maximise performance and ensure the company’s continued success.
Financial Strategy & Planning:
- Develop and lead financial strategy aligned with business goals.
- Oversee financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation.
- Partner with senior leadership to assess financial performance and identify opportunities.
Financial Reporting & Governance:
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Lead preparation and communication of financial statements.
- Provide financial analysis for decision-making and growth.
- Implement risk management strategies and oversee internal controls.
- Ensure compliance with regulations and manage external audits.
Operational Efficiency:
- Identify cost savings, streamline processes, and optimise resources.
- Collaborate with Business Units on strategic initiatives.
- Implement technology solutions to improve processes.
- Develop and monitor KPIs.
- Manage financial aspects of organisational change and transformation.
Stakeholder Management:
- Provide financial insights to CEO and investors.
- Collaborate with senior leadership on growth opportunities.
- Manage relationships with investors, auditors, and financial institutions.
Capital Structure & Fundraising:
- Oversee capital structure and ensure liquidity.
- Lead fundraising activities and M&A opportunities.
- Evaluate investment opportunities and manage capital allocation.
Team Leadership & Development:
- Foster a culture of collaboration and professional development.
- Oversee recruitment, training, and development of talent.
- Align departmental goals with business objectives.
Essential:
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; ACA, ACCA, CIMA qualification.
- Experience in senior finance roles, preferably as a CFO in a private equity-backed environment.
- Experience in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
- Experience in cost optimisation, process improvement, and resource allocation.
- Track record in systems implementations and updates.
- Proficient in developing and monitoring KPIs.
- Experience in cost management, financial modelling, and value creation.
- Experience in stakeholder and investor management.
- Experience managing financial operations in overseas markets.
