Apollo is seeking a Director to assist with providing day-to-day financial and business support to the Credit business. This role will report to the Credit Business Management Chief Financial Officer (CFO). This role will support all activities associated with setting and tracking financial and business objectives, performance monitoring, business analytics, and ad-hoc business initiatives at the request of senior management.
Primary Responsibilities
- Assist Business Management CFO team with driving the execution of financial and business objectives across Credit pillars, focused on optimizing commercial impact and facilitating revenue creation.
- Coordinate across all Finance disciplines (e.g., Controllers, Strategic Finance, Investor Relations, Accounting Policy, etc.), Business Chief Operating Officer (COO) teams, and other firmwide stakeholders as needed to drive effective decision-making in support of Credit priorities.
- Closely monitor fund-level activity (e.g., capital formation, origination and deployment) against expectations, with deep understanding of business drivers and financial implications.
- Play a critical role in setting and tracking originations assumptions in partnership with business stakeholders; manage projections and impact on Credit KPIs.
- Assist with executive narrative around performance drivers and outlook for Credit business.
- Act as key contributor towards monthly forecasts, multi-year planning processes and other recurring deliverables focused on the full economic profile of the Credit business.
- Work closely with fund controllers, Strategic Finance, and members of the Credit COO team to develop actionable insights for Credit leadership as well as drive strategic initiatives for the business.
- Ensure expense vigilance across the Credit franchise, with early indicators of expense drivers, close monitoring of variance against expectations and proactive management of risks and opportunities.
- Provide transparency around profitability drivers and formulate recommendations that can support revenue enhancement.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent.
- 8+ years of experience in financial services, investment management or a related field.
- Excellent quantitative, analytical, and modeling skills with advanced knowledge of Excel, MS Access, Macros, and Power Point.
- Highly organized, keen attention to detail, and able to effectively manage multiple processes simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills to interact effectively with various internal and external constituents.
- Embraces a culture centered on teamwork and is flexible with job responsibilities.
- Strong judgment needed to: i) foresee potential risks and roadblocks to task completion; and ii) identify effective solutions.
- Excels in a rigorous and fast-paced work environment.

Pay Range
$190,000 – $250,000

The base salary range for this position is listed above. This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus based on personal, team, and Firm performance. Compensation ranges are based on several factors including job function, level, and geographic location. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed here.
