Full Job Description
Our client is seeking an experienced
Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead their Finance Department. This role ensures
financial control, compliance, and strategic financial planning while supervising key personnel and collaborating with senior management.
Key Responsibilities
- Regulatory Compliance & Reporting: Prepare/review financial statements and regulatory reports in compliance with FASB, federal, and state regulations.
- Audit & Risk Management: Communicate with internal/external auditors and regulatory examiners, providing documentation and oversight.
- Financial Oversight: Monitor bank accounts, cash positions, and general ledger for accuracy and financial stability.
- Budgeting & Asset/Liability Management: Develop and oversee the annual budget and manage asset/liability functions for long-term financial strategies.
- Investment & Tax Management: Oversee investment portfolio processes and coordinate tax planning with auditors.
- Executive Leadership: Serve on the Executive Team, Emergency Management, and ALCO Committee, driving financial strategies and decision-making.
- Compliance & Regulatory Adherence: Ensure strict compliance with Community Reinvestment Act (CRA), Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Equal Credit Opportunity Act, and other banking regulations.
Qualifications
- Education: B.S. or B.A. in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred.
- Skills: Strong financial analysis, accounting, regulatory compliance, and leadership skills.
- Experience: Minimum of 8 years in a senior financial role, preferably in the banking industry.
