About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the overall finance function of the organization. The role will be responsible for driving financial strategy, governance, budgeting, compliance, risk management, banking relationships, and supporting business growth initiatives. The ideal candidate should be a qualified Chartered Accountant with strong listed company exposure and proven leadership experience.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Planning, Budgeting & Reporting
- Lead the financial planning and analysis (FP&A) function for the group.
- Develop annual budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans aligned with business objectives.
- Analyze financial performance and provide strategic insights to management.
- Ensure accurate, timely, and compliant preparation of financial statements.
- Present monthly, quarterly, and annual MIS reports to senior management and board.
- Drive profitability through cost optimization and revenue enhancement initiatives.
Accounting, Audit & Controls
- Oversee end-to-end accounting operations across group companies.
- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, statutory requirements, and corporate governance norms.
- Coordinate with external auditors for statutory audits and certification.
- Liaise with internal auditors and ensure closure of audit observations.
- Strengthen internal controls, SOPs, and process documentation.
Banking, Treasury & Fund Management
- Manage working capital, cash flow, and liquidity planning.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with banks, financial institutions, and investors.
- Ensure availability of funds for creditors, payroll, statutory dues, and operational needs.
- Lead fund raising initiatives including debt, equity, and structured finance, as required.
Risk Management
- Identify and mitigate financial risks including market, credit, compliance, and operational risks.
- Implement robust risk management frameworks and monitoring systems.
Taxation & Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure compliance with direct and indirect taxation laws including Income Tax, GST, and other statutory regulations.
- Manage tax assessments, disputes, notices, and litigation in coordination with legal advisors.
- Oversee secretarial and listed company compliances including quarterly, half-yearly, and annual filings.
Receivables & Payables
- Monitor collections, receivables aging, and customer outstanding across all business segments.
- Oversee payables management and vendor payment schedules.
Costing & Team Management
- Review product costing and margins regularly to support pricing decisions.
- Build, mentor, and cross-train finance team members for multi-functional capability.
- Foster a high-performance, compliant, and process-driven finance culture.
Desired Candidate Profile
Qualifications
- Chartered Accountant (CA) – Mandatory
Experience
- Minimum 15+ years of experience in Finance & Accounts
- At least 5 years in a Senior Management / Leadership role
- Mandatory experience in a Listed Company
- Prior experience as CFO / Finance Head preferred
