Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Position Overview:
We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our executive team in the automation manufacturing sector. The ideal candidate will have PE experience in their previous or current role and will bring deep financial expertise, operational acumen, and industry-specific insight to help scale operations, optimize profitability, and drive long-term growth.
As CFO, you will oversee all financial aspects of the company, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, strategic planning, cash flow management, risk management, and financial reporting. You will work closely with cross-functional leaders to support manufacturing excellence, cost optimization, and capital allocation strategies aligned with business objectives.
Lead Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic financial leadership and guidance to the executive team and board.
- Oversee financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis for multiple manufacturing locations.
- Manage cash flow, working capital, and capital expenditures to support operations and growth.
- Lead the preparation and analysis of financial statements in accordance with GAAP/IFRS.
- Implement and maintain effective internal controls and financial systems.
- Partner with operations and supply chain to improve cost structures, production efficiency, and inventory management.
- Evaluate and execute M&A opportunities, joint ventures, and other strategic investments.
- Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, banks, and regulatory agencies.
- Develop risk management strategies, including insurance and compliance with financial regulations.
- Build and lead a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Support the implementation of ERP systems and digital finance initiatives.
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (MBA or CPA preferred).
- 10+ years of progressive financial leadership, with at least 5 years as CFO or equivalent role in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in the electrical & automation manufacturing or industrial production sector strongly preferred.
- Proven track record in financial planning & analysis, operational finance, and strategic decision-making.
- Strong knowledge of cost accounting, manufacturing KPIs, and supply chain finance.
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar).
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Competencies:
- Private Equity exposure is highly preferred
- Ability to translate complex financial concepts into actionable business strategies.
- Deep understanding of global supply chains, commodity pricing, and trade regulations.
- Experience leading financial transformation and process automation.
- Strategic thinker with a roll-up-your-sleeves mentality.
