Position Summary:
The National Sales Operations Director is responsible for leading and optimizing the operational backbone of our cannabis sales organization across all markets. This leader will design and implement systems, processes, and tools that empower our regional sales teams to hit aggressive revenue goals while maintaining brand standards and compliance with all cannabis industry regulations. You’ll work cross-functionally with executive leadership, sales, marketing, compliance, distribution, and retail to ensure sales strategy execution is seamless from the top down.
Salary:
This position offers a competitive base salary ranging from $110,000 to $140,000
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Operations Strategy
- Design and own the national sales operations strategy in alignment with business goals
- Analyze performance metrics and develop sales forecasting models
- Implement and manage CRM systems and sales enablement platforms
Process Improvement & Efficiency
- Develop and standardize SOPs across regions to improve workflow, visibility, and accountability
- Identify bottlenecks in sales processes and implement solutions to improve speed to market
- Partner with Distribution and Inventory teams to improve order fulfillment accuracy and timelines
Team Leadership
- Provide training, coaching, and leadership development to direct reports
- Foster a culture of accountability, data-driven decision-making, and collaboration
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Compliance and Legal to ensure adherence to all cannabis regulations across markets
Reporting & Analytics
- Own and deliver weekly/monthly/quarterly sales performance dashboards
- Identify trends, wins, and areas of risk by region, account, and product line
- Present strategic insights to executive leadership for decision-making
Qualifications Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred; equivalent work experience will also be considered.
- 5+ years of sales operations or business operations leadership experience
- Experience in the cannabis, CPG, or highly regulated industries
- Proven success in building systems, processes, and teams from the ground up
- Strong analytical skills and experience with sales performance data and forecasting
- Deep understanding of CRM platforms (Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.) and BI tools
- Excellent communication, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration skills
Preferred:
- Experience scaling a sales organization in a multi-state operator (MSO) environment
