Position Summary
Business operations is the backbone that enables our sales, marketing and business development teams to be properly equipped with the right tools, analytics, and business insights to be successful in the field. As Vice President of Business Operations, this position will play a critical role in developing strategy and leading teams which enable our revenue organization.
This hire will report to SENS’ Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) and will work cross-functionally across all levels within the organization. As the strategic partner to the CRO, this individual will lead and manage Sales Operations, Project Management, Account Management, Inside Sales/Sales Support, and Order Management teams.
Through process and leadership, this role will directly facilitate all aspects of our Sales Department’s customer interactions and will help foster a world-class front-end customer sales journey. This individual must convey a strong command and leadership presence while simultaneously embodying a servant mentality to the business. They will be responsible for accurate business tracking and key performance reporting for effective strategic planning across all functionalities that they oversee.
Responsibilities
Leadership:
- Display engaged leadership style that empowers and promotes involvement, communication, clear expectations, accountability, and a passion for excellence.
- Lead and manage Sales Operations, Project Management, Account Management, Inside Sales/Sales Support, Order Management and effectively liaise with IT.
Sales Process SME & Owner
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve processes, procedures, and workflows for customer buying journey.
- Establish, implement, analyze, and optimize sales processes like lead scoring, lead routing and others that drive quality leads and operational efficiency.
- Improve and optimize sales and marketing department processes to support CRM data quality, ensuring we are reporting and making decisions based on the best possible information.
Reporting & Financials
- Track progress of quarterly goals and results based on company CRM.
- Provide weekly, monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc reporting on sales performance and KPIs; analyze data to gain insight and make recommendations on areas for optimization. Provide overviews to the Executive Team.
- Build dashboards and KPIs that enable sales leaders to make real-time, data-driven decisions.
- Together with the accounting/finance team and CRO: monitor, analyze and reconcile sales budget.
Strategy & Organizational Overlay
- Facilitate the role of Project Manager for various sales department initiatives; support the ongoing execution of the CRO’s strategic vision, translating it into goals, ultimately seeing them through to fruition and implementation.
- Key contributor to the development and implementation of sales strategies, supporting the company's growth goals and initiatives.
- Collaborate with Sales, Finance and New Product Development Departments to generate and manage ongoing product costing and pricing tools.
- Work cross-functionally across the organization to optimize sales efforts and continually improve effectiveness and productivity
Marketing
- Collaborate with the marketing department to generate powerful communication tools and collateral to support the sales organization (TAYA should be applied where appropriate).
- Support an ongoing collaborative “voice of the customer” informational exchange between sales and marketing, sharing, and incorporating both qualitative and quantitative knowledge into strategic initiatives and plans for both teams.
- Partner with marketing department leadership to cooperatively harness and optimize the HubSpot CRM for all possible marketing stack campaign tracking including reporting, dashboards, KPIs, ROIs, campaigns, events, and more.
- Support all strategic marketing campaigns through the sales organization, promotion, CRM, events, communication, and tracking and reporting as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent demonstrated work experience.
- 15+ years of total work experience with 5+ years in Sales-Operations
- HubSpot experience a plus
- Demonstrates strong strategic thinking – ability to process information holistically and use data and analytics to inform all aspects of strategic sales decisions
- Strong attention to detail and highly organized
- Resourceful and scrappy –willing to roll up sleeves
- Excellent presentation skills as well as strong verbal and written communication skills
- Motivated self-starter with the ability to actively listen, collaborate and identify key drivers of cost in the business.
- Demonstrated desire for continuous learning and improvement.
- Expert in Microsoft Office – Excel, PowerPoint
- Strong project and time management skills.
- Experience managing, mentoring, and leading a large team.

Work Environment / Physical Requirements:
Works in fast paced office environment. Many tasks are repetitive in motion and include the use of office equipment (phone, fax, computer, etc.). Must be able to sit (70%), walk/ stand (30%), reach, bend, crouch, twist; manual dexterity required for data entry & other tasks. Occasional lifting of up to 30 pounds. Speaking and hearing required to communicate internally and over the phone. Vision, depth perception & color vision required to perform essential duties. Working hours are Monday-Friday from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Must be flexible to work additional hours from time to time if required.
Base Compensation: $200,000+ is the projected annualized salary for this role depending on the candidate’s overall qualifications and experience. Employees are also eligible to receive bonuses and benefits.
Location: This role can be local to the Longmont, Colorado office, however remote/hybrid candidates will be considered.
