The business is now seeking a forward-thinking Chief Financial Officer, as it continues on a path of sustained organic growth. This position will report to the Chief Executive Officer with a remit to drive key initiatives within the finance function, and to support senior stakeholders with further growth targets and the strategic direction of the company.
Key responsibilities:
- Support the CEO and other senior leaders with pragmatic and commercially robust advice
- Deliver high quality long-term financial and strategic planning
- Drive the establishment and refinement of forward-looking and data-driven insights, ensuring genuine contemporary finance business partnering capability.
- Enable critical thinking and superior financial modelling and analysis to support strategic initiatives
- Oversee a robust budgeting and forecasting process, through a lens of continuous improvement
- Drive ongoing monitoring of business performance, adding influential and strategic commercial advice to the business as necessary
- Manage the capital structure, debt, and funding strategies to support growth
- Drive operational efficiency through judicious cost control, margin analysis, and pricing discussion
- Oversee Steritech’s insurance portfolio to ensure adequate coverage, risk mitigation, and cost-effectiveness
- Manage and enhance relationships with external auditors, tax advisors and regulatory bodies to deliver improved processes and outcomes for the business
- Ensure compliance with all financial regulations, tax law, and internal controls, whilst fostering an environment of proactive risk management
- Provide inspiring leadership and mentoring to direct and indirect reports, ensuring a culture of process excellence and continuous improvement is always maintained
Key requirements:
- CA/CPA/CIMA/MBA qualified, you are an experienced CFO with excellent financial and management accounting knowledge and skills, aligned with outstanding commercial acumen
- You have proven leadership ability with a track record of building, improving, and retaining high performing finance teams
- With a track record of helping steer privately held businesses from small to medium scale, you bring a track record of success in growth environments
- Prior experience in manufacturing, agriculture, or medical science/technology businesses is highly advantageous
- A flexible and critical high-level thinker, you are a natural business partner and pragmatic problem solver
- With excellent digital and data capability, you bring a sound degree of technological literacy
- You are a strong and natural communicator with executive presence and the ability to interact in a highly effective manner with Boards/ELTs
