LHH is currently recruiting for a CFO role with a solid non-profit organization. The company is in the human services area. Well respected organization, company has grown and still growing!
Overall Job Functions -
- Analyze and improve the accounting and financial areas of the department and company; will have a period of some “clean up” to put all areas in a better place than currently; will still have the current consulting firm to answer questions and assist as needed
- Policy and procedure updates/improvements as needed and developing the department
- Management and cover all accounting and finance areas for the organization during the restructuring
- Grant management (Federal & State), compliance and accounting
- Budget and forecasting areas
- Assess and restructure/rebuild the accounting and finance team and functions
- Audit review, preparation and working with external auditors
- Other accounting and financial projects as needed
Qualifications -
- Bachelor’s – Accounting or related area; MBA in similar area highly preferred
- CPA/CMA highly preferred
- 10+ years of accounting and financial experience; including Grant management
- Strong understanding of US GAAP
- Non-Profit or Medical industry highly preferred
- Prior experience with FQHC (Federally Qualified Health Centers) is highly preferred
- Ability to implement/improve accounting policies and procedures
- Strong system skills with a larger accounting system; prior system upgrades or implementations a plus
- Good communication and management skills; ability to work with and communicate effectively with all executives and staff throughout the organization
Salary = $175-$200k base DOE
