InServ is seeking a strategic, hands-on Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our Executive Leadership Team and help drive the next phase of growth. This role is ideal for a seasoned financial leader with deep construction industry experience who thrives in a multi-division, multi-state environment.
As CFO, you will serve as a trusted business partner to the CEO and leadership team, providing financial direction, operational insight, and disciplined execution to ensure long-term stability, scalability, and profitability.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Strategic & Executive Leadership
- Provide forward-looking financial insight to guide corporate strategy and growth initiatives
- Partner with executive leadership on long-term strategic planning and annual business plans
- Identify financial risks and constraints, and develop innovative, data-driven solutions
- Champion initiatives that drive sustainable, long-term value
Financial Planning, Budgeting & Analysis
- Lead companywide budgeting, forecasting, and cost control initiatives
- Evaluate new service lines, geographic expansion, and diversification opportunities
- Deliver meaningful financial analysis, KPIs, scenario modeling, and trend insights
Accounting, Reporting & Systems
- Lead and develop a high-performing finance and accounting team
- Ensure accurate, timely financial reporting and regulatory compliance
- Oversee audits, tax filings, and internal controls
- Evaluate and implement financial systems and process improvements to support growth
Working Capital, Treasury & Risk Management
- Optimize cash flow, liquidity, and working capital
- Oversee bonding, financing, and capital planning
- Partner with Estimating and Operations to improve contract terms and reduce financial risk
- Conduct ongoing risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies
Enterprise Financial Leadership
- Serve as a strategic financial advisor across all business units
- Support cross-functional initiatives beyond traditional finance responsibilities
- Drive ROI-focused decision-making throughout the organization
WHAT YOU BRING:
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Finance Leader, with demonstrated success in a multi-state, multi-division organization
- Extensive construction industry experience, with strong knowledge of its financial, operational, and regulatory complexities
- Proven ability to balance strategic leadership with hands-on execution
- Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills
- Skilled at creating and implementing KPI’s that facilitate the management of growth, cost control, and profitability.
- Proficient in accounting application systems (server and cloud-based software, accounting software requirements definition, conversions).

Education & Credentials
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance required
- Master’s degree preferred
- CPA designation preferred
