Chief Financial Officer – High Growth!
We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the financial operations of a large, very successful, privately owned company. The CFO will oversee financial planning, budgeting and forecasting, accounting, IT, HR, bank relationships, cash flow, insurance and benefits, tax compliance and planning, and risk management. This leader will work closely with the CEO and senior leadership to develop long-term financial strategies, ensure profitability, and drive sustainable growth.
Key Responsibilities of the CFO:
- Provide strategic financial direction, planning, and analysis to support organizational goals and profitability.
- Oversee all accounting and finance operations
- Provide leadership and mentorship both directly and indirectly to the accounting and finance teams, HR and IT.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
- Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reporting in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Monitor and update internal controls, policies, and procedures to safeguard assets and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Collaborate with department leaders to drive operational efficiency and cost control.
- Proactively analyze the financial statements including analysis of key financial and operational performance metrics, indicators, and trends
- Manage relationships with external auditors and tax professionals, banks, insurance providers, and financial institutions.
- Assess and lead any mergers, acquisitions, real estate transactions, and expansion opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with all other federal, state, and laws.
- Other special projects as needed
Requirements of the CFO
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Master’s degree a plus
- Certified Public Accountant
- Some public accounting experience highly preferred
- Minimum of 12 years of experience in accounting and finance progressing to the CFO level
- Proven experience overseeing multi-location operations
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and leadership skills
- Strong computer skills including proficiency in ERP systems
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated capacity for effective decision-making and business analysis
- Team player with an excellent job record
- Highest level of honesty and integrity
Target salary range: $250,000 - $300,000 DOE, Benefits include discretionary bonus potential, PTO, insurance, 401(k), and more.
