Role Overview
We are seeking a proactive and strategically minded Chief Financial Officer to lead the company’s financial strategy during this high-growth phase. The CFO will drive equity and debt fundraising, manage investor and lender relationships, ensure financial discipline across the group and subsidiaries, and serve as a core member of the leadership team steering GH2 Solar towards a successful listing and long-term profitability.
Key Responsibilities
Fundraising & Capital Strategy (60% weightage):
- Lead and execute debt syndication with institutions like PFC, REC, IREDA, SBI, and other DFIs/NBFCs.
- Structure and execute equity raises including Pre-IPO, IPO, and strategic investments.
- Manage and negotiate term sheets, credit sanction letters, covenants, and equity instruments.
- Design financial models and projections aligned with business plans and project lifecycles.
Strategic & Operational Finance (40% weightage):
- Develop and oversee financial strategy, cash flow planning, and working capital management.
- Drive monthly MIS, variance analysis, and forecasting with sharp control over burn and profitability.
- Ensure compliance with statutory audits, income tax, GST, MCA, RBI, SEBI norms.
- Manage banking, treasury, and financial risk across projects and SPVs.
- Build and lead a finance team capable of supporting multiple verticals and investor-grade reporting.
Desired Profile
Must-Haves:
- Proven track record of raising and managing project finance for solar/renewables, especially with PFC, REC, IREDA, SBI, etc.
- Experience in equity fundraising, investor communication, and due diligence processes.
- Independent thinker with ability to work hands-on and also lead a lean but capable finance team.
- Strong knowledge of financial modeling, compliance frameworks, and IPO-readiness processes.
Preferred:
- 7–15 years of overall experience in finance, with significant exposure to infrastructure, energy, or project-based businesses.
- Chartered Accountant (CA) or MBA (Finance) or equivalent; CFA preferred.
- Experience working in a startup or growth-stage environment with high agility and accountability.
