Job Title: Chief Revenue Officer
The Company:
Cast Iron Media helps sports rights-holders, from major leagues to regional franchises, unlock the full value of live-sports inventory on connected TV. Our proprietary ad-tech stack bridges linear TV buying behavior with data-driven, programmatic CTV demand. After a period of robust growth, the company has been investing to drive a new phase of accelerated growth.
The Role:
As CRO you will own all revenue generation, including direct & programmatic sales, agency partnerships, customer success, and RevOps, reporting to the CEO. You will shape go-to-market strategy and serve as Cast Iron’s senior ambassador to holding-company trading desks, independents, and brand decision-makers. You will sit on the company’s Senior Leadership Team, contributing to all major decisions made by the team.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic & Commercial
- Craft and execute an integrated revenue plan across direct, programmatic, and channel sales
- Prioritize and lead sales efforts into the major advertising agency holding groups as well as regional and local markets.
- Partner with Product & Engineering on technology development such as addressability, measurement, innovative ad formats and new monetization levers.
Sales Leadership & Operations
- Architect, hire, and mentor a high-performance sales and marketing organization
- Establish data-driven forecasting, pricing, pipeline and CRM discipline
- Monitor marketplace dynamics, negotiate contracts, and adjust pipeline strategy for sustainable growth
Stakeholder Management
- Cultivate relationships with key ecosystem partners
- Align with CEO, Senior Leadership Team and Board of Directors on strategic planning and execution
Qualifications:
- Hybrid Sales DNA. Demonstrated success driving revenue in both traditional linear TV ad sales and programmatic/CTV environments
- Executive Revenue Leader. 15+ years in revenue leadership, including 5+ years owning a large P&L
- Agency & Advertiser Network. Deep, current relationships across holding companies, independents, regional buyers, and brand-direct clients
- Partnership Architect. Track record structuring IO, programmatic, rev-share, and incentive deals
- Team Builder & Mentor. Proven ability to hire, coach, and retain high-performing organizations
- Data-Driven Operator. Fluency in revenue-ops tooling and analytics-based decision making
- Cultural Fit. Low-ego, action-oriented, energetic, and collaborative leader who thrives in fast-paced growth settings
Preferred Extras:
- Background in local broadcast or sports media plus deep understanding of digital ad-tech ecosystems
- Experience scaling revenue through multiple growth inflection points
- Experience working for Private Equity backed entities
