This individual will combine project management, financial acumen, and strategic expertise to strengthen our business foundation and support company growth.
Role Overview
The Business Operations Manager will play a central role in driving execution, business planning, supporting invoicing and operational activities, and enabling cross-functional execution. This role requires an individual with an MBA or equivalent experience, strong project management and analytical skills, and proven success in both business strategy and operations.
You will lead business projects, own financial analysis, manage billing and collections, and planning. You will partner closely with product and leadership teams to ensure operations and technology align with operational requirements to grow the company.
Location Requirement: Candidate must be based in the San Francisco Bay Area. This is a hybrid position requiring 2–3 days per week in our San Francisco - South Bay area office.
Key Responsibilities
Business Planning & Project Execution
- Partner with leadership to develop and execute business plans that support growth and scalability.
- Execute on projects successfully and deliver outcomes
- Conduct market and internal analyses to identify risks, opportunities, and areas for investment.
- Build financial and operational models to support strategic decision-making.
- Support annual planning, goal setting, and KPI development.
Financial & Operational Management
- Manage billing, invoicing, and collections processes with accuracy and timeliness.
- Lead operations financial reporting and variance analysis.
- Establish dashboards and metrics to monitor operational performance.
Data Analytics & Insights
- Conduct data analysis across operations, finance, and customer engagement.
- Translate raw data into actionable insights and recommendations for executives.
- Present findings clearly and persuasively to leadership and cross-functional teams.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Drive operational improvements across departments by identifying bottlenecks and implementing scalable solutions.
- Create policies and update policies to support audit requirements and functional execution
Product Partnership
- Work with the product team to translate operational business requirements into platform features.
- Ensure smooth implementation of product features that support business operations.
Qualifications
- Education & Background
- MBA strongly preferred; bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field required.
- 5+ years of experience in business operations.
- Demonstrated experience in business planning and project execution.
- Technical & Analytical Skills
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
- Strong financial modeling, forecasting, and data analytics skills (Excel, SQL, or BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, QuickSight).
- Proficiency in presenting complex analyses and recommendations to executives.
- Tech savvy and able to quickly learn new tools and platforms.

- Proven ability to learn very quickly and adapt in a fast-paced startup environment.
