This position is not with Mankuta Gallagher and Associates. This is a confidential CFO position for one of our clients.
The CFO is a key member of the Senior Management Team, responsible for organizing, preparing, implementing fiscal policies and provide expert guidance to the Executive Leadership team on all financial matters and strategies. The CFO actively participates in and contributes to company-wide strategic initiatives, and plays a crucial role in the planning, development, and coordination of all organizational ventures. As the principal source of financial information, the CFO provides essential insights to the Chief Executive Officer, Chief Operating Officer, and Board of Directors. This is a Hybrid role requiring 3 days in office.
Essential Responsibilities:
• Leadership: Provides strong leadership for all direct reports (team of 25+), addressing staff issues, problems, and concerns promptly.
• Performance Management: Develops mutually agreeable performance goals for direct reports and assists them in setting goals for their teams.
• Evaluation: Regularly reviews and evaluates direct reports, monitoring results, and providing coaching, counseling, and direction as needed.
• Financial Reporting: Coordinates the preparation of timely and accurate interim and annual financial statements, ensuring all tax returns and 5500 filings are submitted on time.
• Budgeting: Oversees the development of the annual operating and capital budgets.
• Audit Coordination: Plans and coordinates the annual audit with independent auditors appointed by the Board of Directors.
• Communication: Regularly communicates relevant financial information to administrative and departmental managers.
• Regulatory Liaison: Maintains effective communication with the Executive Office of Health and Human Services
• Compliance: Ensures adherence to all regulatory requirements related to contracting and Office of Inspector General compliance.
• Resource Allocation: Recommends the allocation of appropriate resources to provide adequate staffing and space for efficient operations of the Finance, Information Technology, and Facility Management Departments.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
•Minimum of 10 years of demonstrated executive leadership experience in healthcare finance
•5 years as a CFO
•Experience on the Payor and Provider side preferred
•Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Accounting required; Master’s degree preferred.
•Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation preferred.
•Familiarity with financial regulations and compliance requirements.
•Financial acumen, strategic thinking and the ability to successfully manage teams.
•Knowledge and experience with healthcare on both the provider and payer side preferred.
