About the position
As Sales and Operations Manager, you’ll join a fast-growing international team at the forefront of SAP transformation, where your leadership will directly shape Implema’s success in the US market. In this pivotal role, you will drive business growth and expansion in the US while shaping client relationships and operational excellence. This is a dynamic position that blends sales, business development, people management, and consulting delivery, with a strong emphasis on commercial success. You’ll manage client development, oversee operational excellence, and lead a high-performing team, while working closely with the leadership group for Business Area SAP. To succeed in this role, you should be results-oriented, take ownership, and combine strategic thinking with a hands-on, consultative approach. This role is based out of Raleigh, NC, and reports directly to the Managing Director. Domestic travel is to be expected.
Main Tasks & Responsibilities
- Drive and grow the business in the region by identifying, building, and maintaining customer relationships
- Build and strengthen Implema’s local network through customer events and industry forums.
- Actively participate in client delivery, such as pre-studies and project management
- Manage the daily business operations and ensure profitability
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of SAP Engineers, providing guidance and support
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment
- Provide the management team in Sweden with updates on US operations, challenges, and opportunities
What We Expect from You
Your Work Experience, Education & Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field
- Min 7 years of experience achieving business results, preferably from a sales-driven role
- Hands-on experience with SAP solutions, including a strong understanding of business processes and the ability to translate customer needs into SAP-driven solutions
- Proven ability to sell consulting services to both existing and new clients
- Experience working with large enterprises in the US
- Technical background as a project manager or solution architect within SAP or similar systems
- Proven experience in leading and developing a team
- Strong project management skills and a track record of successful project delivery
- Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written, and excellent stakeholder management skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Robust business acumen and a good understanding of various business functions
- High integrity, accuracy, and efficiency in business development tasks, resulting in the best possible team performance
