We are looking for candidates who come out of Residential Solar, HVAC, Roofing Companies, Home Remodeling Companies with revenues at least in the $500M range and up.
Role Mission
As CFO, you will be the financial anchor and strategic thought partner in a fast-moving, capital-intensive business. You will ensure the Company has the financial architecture, governance, and agility to fund growth, manage risks, and transform metrics and execution across business lines (solar, roofing, financing).
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Finance & Capital Planning
- Lead the Company multi-year financial planning, modeling, and scenario analyses
- Partner with business leaders on allocating capital to maximize returns and margin expansion
Financial Operations & Controls
- Oversee accounting, treasury, cash management, tax, budgeting, forecasting
- Strengthen internal controls, SOX / compliance frameworks (as needed), and audit readiness
- Improve processes, systems, and reporting cadence (financial dashboards, KPIs, variance analysis)
Risk & Governance
- Assess and manage risks (credit, liquidity, contractual, counterparty)
- Lead due diligence and financial oversight for acquisitions or partnerships
- Interface with external stakeholders (banks, auditors, rating agencies, regulators)
Business Partnership & Leadership
- Be a strategic business partner to the CEO and senior leadership team
- Translate business metrics into financial context, and vice versa
- Build and lead a high-performing finance team across regions
- Influence decisions around pricing, cost discipline, and investments
M&A, Investments & Structuring
- Source, diligence, and financial integrate acquisition targets
- Provide valuation discipline, synergy capture plans, and ROI thresholds
What Success Looks Like (12–18 Months)
- A robust, multi-year capital plan is in place and being executed
- Financial systems, dashboards, and controls upgraded to support scaling
- Margins improving in core operating lines concurrent with growth
- The finance team is strong, aligned, and trusted by operations, business units, and external partners
Experience & Qualifications
- 12+ years of progressive finance leadership (controller, FP&A, treasury, corporate or project finance)
- Strong skill at translating business vision into financial rigor
- Leadership gravitas — ability to partner with CEOs, investors, lenders, and cross-functional teams
- Comfort in ambiguity, scaling businesses, and rapid change
Compensation & Incentives
