Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our executive team. The CFO will play a critical role in shaping the financial strategy of our organization, ensuring robust financial management, and driving sustainable growth. This position requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership capabilities and extensive knowledge in corporate finance, risk management, and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing financial operations within both for-profit and non-profit sectors.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all financial operations, including corporate accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Develop and implement financial strategies that align with the organization’s goals and objectives.
- Lead mergers and acquisitions initiatives to support business growth and expansion.
- Ensure compliance with SOX, GAAP, IFRS, ASC 606, COSO, and other regulatory requirements.
- Conduct risk analysis and management to mitigate financial risks.
- Manage treasury functions including cash flow management and investment strategies.
- Prepare and present comprehensive financial reports to senior leadership and the board of directors.
- Supervise the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting and timely completion of month-end close processes.
- Drive expense management initiatives to optimize cost control across the organization.
- Collaborate with other departments to support business development efforts through effective financial planning and analysis.
- Utilize financial software for reporting, modeling, and analysis to enhance decision-making processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
- Extensive experience in corporate finance, financial management, and accounting practices.
- Strong knowledge of revenue management, fiscal management, budgeting, forecasting, and cost accounting principles.
- Proven expertise in risk management, regulatory reporting, market analysis, and treasury management.
- Excellent negotiation skills with a strong acumen for business development opportunities.
- Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to manage teams effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in financial report writing and interpretation; ability to communicate complex financial concepts clearly to stakeholders.
- Familiarity with governmental accounting practices is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to conduct thorough business analysis.
