We are seeking a Fractional Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join the executive leadership team and guide the company’s financial operations, structure, and long-term sustainability.
Position OverviewReporting directly to the Founder, the Fractional CFO will serve as a strategic financial partner, establishing fiscal discipline, shaping capital strategy, and ensuring the organization’s financial readiness for growth.
This is an equity-based leadership position offering 5% ownership (fully diluted), designed for a hands-on finance executive with startup experience who wants to make a lasting impact and grow alongside the company.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and manage financial models, forecasts, and scenario planning for growth and investment.
- Please let the Founder and leadership team know about equity structures, valuations, and capitalization strategies.
- Establish and oversee accounting, reporting, and compliance functions appropriate for an S-Corp.
- Build a short- and long-term financial strategy aligned with the company's KPIs and revenue milestones.
- Lead financial preparation for funding rounds, grant opportunities, and strategic partnerships.
- Develop transparent dashboards and reporting systems for cash flow, burn rate, and unit economics.
- Could you ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable state/federal financial regulations?
- Provide strategic insights on pricing, cost optimization, and sustainability planning.
Ideal Qualifications- 10+ years of experience in finance leadership roles (CFO, VP Finance, or Controller).
- Proven success guiding SaaS or technology startups through early growth or fundraising stages.
- Expertise in equity structuring, valuation, and financial modeling.
- Familiarity with S-Corp accounting, tax, and ownership distribution practices.
- Experience with investor relations, pitch preparation, and board reporting.
- Strong understanding of KPIs relevant to SaaS and subscription-based business models.
- CPA, CFA, or MBA preferred but not required.
- Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to thrive in a lean, fast-moving environment.
Compensation- 5% Equity (Fully Diluted) vested according to agreed-upon milestones and performance metrics.
- No base salary during the pre-funding phase.
