My client is a market leading independent FMCG £100m+ t/o business, selling a range of "own label" high quality products across UK and International B2B markets.
The Chief Financial Officer will report directly to the CEO, operating as his "right hand" finance business partner and operate as part of a high calibre Board team based at their flagship HO in Central London.
There will also be the requirement to travel typically 1-2 days per week up to the main Manufacturing and Distribution site based up in Manchester.
The brief:
- Create a "best in class" Finance function to provide robust financial reporting/control.
- Develop MI/KPI's to support key decision making processes.
- Work v closely with the CEO and Board colleagues to drive ongoing sustainable growth and profitability.
- Oversee optimal operational efficiency and cost control across all business functions.
- Strong interface with Sales and Marketing teams to maximise revenue volumes/profit margins and also to directly provide "hands on" support for major new business bids/tenders.
- Regular direct liaison with key Clients, including in-depth Pricing negotiations for high volume Contract Manufacturing.
- Operate as main point of contact with all professional stakeholders, including external Funders
- Overall, this is a high profile senior CFO role to operate as a key member of the Board to ensure this leading independent FMCG company achieves its International growth ambitions.
Candidate Profile:
- You must have a proven successful track record within the FMCG sector operating in a Senior Finance leadership role; specific experience of private/own label manufactured products would be a further advantage, although not pre-requisite.
- You must be based in London/S East to work closely alongside the CEO/Board colleagues with the flexibility to be able to travel up to Manchester 1-2 days each week.
- A high calibre experienced graduate qualified accountant who can demonstrate financial rigour as well as a high level of business/commercial acumen.
- Credible and assured, possess the confidence and ability to flourish in this high profile CFO role.
