The Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) will lead the nationwide revenue organization end-to-end, overseeing Sales, Business Development, and Marketing. This role is both strategic and hands-on-responsible for defining the growth vision, building scalable sales teams, expanding strategic partnerships, and aligning marketing and origination under one unified go-to-market engine.
The CRO will report directly to the CEO and serve as a core member of the executive leadership team driving the company's next phase of national expansion.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & National Growth Strategy
- Develop and execute a comprehensive national revenue strategy to accelerate market penetration and multi-state expansion.
- Build, lead, and scale a high-performance sales organization across key U.S. markets.
- Oversee Marketing and Business Development to ensure cohesive positioning, consistent pipeline generation, and strong conversion rates.
- Establish clear KPIs for acquisition, conversion, unit economics, and growth, and manage the organization rigorously against these metrics.
- Collaborate closely with Product, Credit, and Operations to refine offerings, strengthen market fit, and streamline the full loan lifecycle.
Business Development & Partnerships
- Develop, negotiate, and expand high-impact partnerships with brokerage networks, regional banks, private lenders, construction firms, and real estate developers.
- Identify and open new distribution channels-including referral networks, platforms, and aggregators-to materially increase volume.
- Represent the company at conferences, industry events, investor summits, and sector roundtables as a public-facing executive leader.
Team Building & Enablement
- Recruit, develop, and motivate a high-performing team of Account Executives, Relationship Managers, and Regional Sales Leaders.
- Design performance-driven incentive and compensation plans that align with company objectives.
- Improve team efficiency by implementing sales playbooks, CRM discipline, sales automation workflows, and modern go-to-market tools (dialers, sequencing platforms, analytics).
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in mortgage, private lending, or commercial real estate finance.
- Proven success in scaling sales organizations from regional to national-or from startup/scale-up to a substantial national footprint.
- Strong industry relationships across banks, brokers, private lenders, and real estate investment firms.
- Deep knowledge of credit, lending products, and the full loan lifecycle (origination, underwriting, closing, servicing).
- Experience integrating sales and marketing functions under unified revenue leadership.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and leadership abilities; comfortable operating as a public-facing executive.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to balance strategic vision and hands-on execution in a high-growth environment.
