- Finance operations for a growing multi-brand organization

The Role
This is a hands-on, strategic leadership role where you will shape the financial engine behind our growth. You’ll work closely with the leadership team to build clarity, discipline, and momentum across the business.
1. Capital Strategy & Investor Relations
- Build and execute a financing strategy that supports long-term expansion
- Optimize access to debt, equity, grants, and tax credits (SR&ED/CDAE)
- Maintain strong relationships with lenders, investors, and funding partners
- Produce best-in-class reporting packages for lenders, VCs, and the board
2. M&A Leadership
- Lead end-to-end M&A: sourcing, modeling, diligence, integration planning
- Build a repeatable acquisition framework for future deals
- Consolidate financials from new entities into a coherent group structure
- Partner closely with the CEO on evaluation and post-merger execution
3. SaaS Metrics & Performance Optimization
- Own all SaaS KPIs: MRR, ARR, churn, CAC, LTV, NRR, payback
- Build dashboards that give the company real-time visibility
- Guide product, engineering, and GTM decisions through strong economics
- Identify opportunities to improve pricing, margins, and efficiency
4. Financial Operations
- Oversee accounting, controls, compliance, and governance
- Unify Cakemail + Leadfox financial systems
- Implement a modern, automated finance stack
- Establish a fast, predictable monthly close
- Build reporting accuracy and discipline company-wide
5. Team Leadership
- Build and mentor a finance team (Controller, FP&A, etc.)
- Raise financial literacy across departments
- Be a collaborative, steady partner to the leadership team
AI Expectations
We are an AI-first company. The CFO must be comfortable using AI tools daily to:
- Accelerate modeling, analysis, and reporting
- Automate recurring financial processes
- Support M&A research and evaluations
- Produce investor-ready materials quickly
- Benchmark markets, competitors, and trends
What You Bring
- 8+ years in finance with leadership experience
- CPA required
- SaaS or tech finance experience (subscriptions, metrics, billing)
- Strong modeling and forecasting skills
- Proven experience with M&A or financial consolidation
- Experience with lenders, investors, and reporting requirements
- AI-literate: uses AI naturally to increase output and speed
- Clear communicator who brings simplicity to complexity
- Comfortable working in a growing, evolving environment
