We are entering an exciting phase of growth and seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our executive team. This leader will shape the company’s financial future, guide strategic decision-making, and help scale our impact in public safety technology.
About the RoleAs CFO, you will report directly to the CEO and collaborate closely with the Board of Directors. You’ll lead Virnous’ financial strategy, oversee daily operations, and ensure fiscal health across the organization. This role is ideal for a hands-on financial leader with startup experience and an understanding of law enforcement or government fiscal processes.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute the company’s financial planning and growth strategy.
- Oversee accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Prepare and present P&L statements and financial reports to the CEO and Board.
- Lead budget management, forecasting, and risk assessment initiatives.
- Ensure regulatory compliance and implement sound fiscal controls.
- Support fundraising, investor relations, and capital strategy.
- Manage cash flow, audits, and internal controls.
- Collaborate across teams to align financial planning with business objectives.
- Build and refine workflows to improve operational efficiency.
- Translate complex financial data into actionable insights.
Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (MBA or CPA preferred)
- 5+ years of financial leadership experience; startup experience strongly preferred.
- Deep understanding of government or law enforcement budgeting and payment cycles.
- Proven success reporting to C-Suite and Boards.
- Expertise in financial modeling, forecasting, and strategic analysis.
- Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
- Entrepreneurial mindset — ability to build and adapt financial systems in a growing company.
