Position OverviewWe are seeking a proactive and mission-driven Business Operations Manager to oversee the daily operations, communications, fundraising, and compliance of One Good Act. This role is ideal for a highly organized and creative professional who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial nonprofit environment and wants to help scale the organization’s programs and impact.
The ideal candidate will bring a blend of operational excellence, communications savvy, and nonprofit management experience—someone who can take the founder’s vision and run with it.
Key Responsibilities
Program & Operations Management- Manage day-to-day operations of One Good Act’s active programs (e.g., SPRYNG, scholarships, Pakistani women in computing, Fundraising).
- Track program deliverables, outcomes, and partner engagement.
- Maintain organizational calendars, systems, and digital files.
- Organize board meetings, prepare minutes, and ensure follow-ups.
- Conduct one-time organization of historical records and streamline digital storage systems.
- Maintain organization required filings and organize records ongoing.
Communications & Digital Presence- Keep the One Good Act website updated with new content, programs, and impact stories.
- Develop and manage a social media calendar for LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook.
- Create visually compelling content using Canva or similar tools.
- Draft monthly newsletters and donor updates.
Fundraising & Grant Management- Research and apply for grants from foundations, corporations, and government sources.
- Track submission timelines, deliverables, and reporting requirements.
- Develop and manage online fundraising campaigns (e.g., Giving Tuesday, year-end drives).
- Support donor stewardship and acknowledgment communications.
Compliance & Administration- Maintain all organizational compliance, including IRS filings (Form 990-N/990-EZ), Washington State Charitable Renewals, and annual reports.
- Keep bylaws, EIN, and 501(c)(3) documentation up to date.
- Coordinate with accountants/bookkeepers for tax preparation and financial recordkeeping.
- Ensure proper documentation for all board and operational activities.
Executive Support- Provide support to the Founder/Executive Director in strategic initiatives, partnerships, and presentations.
- Draft impact reports, proposals, and talking points as needed.
Ideal Candidate- 3–5+ years of experience in nonprofit operations, communications, or program management.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with website management (Wix, Squarespace, or WordPress) and social media platforms.
- Comfortable using Google Workspace, Canva, Airtable/Notion, or similar tools.
- Familiar with grant databases and light bookkeeping.
- Creative, self-directed, and passionate about One Good Act’s mission.
