ABOUT WESHIP EXPRESS
WeShip Express is a leading logistics and compliance provider specializing in direct-to-consumer alcohol shipping. We help wineries, retailers, and personal storage clients ship efficiently, compliantly, and at scale. As we grow, we’re adding a seasoned Sales Operations leader to bring rigor, visibility, and execution discipline to our sales engine.
ROLE OVERVIEW
The Sales Operations & Effectiveness Manager is the operational owner of sales performance at WeShip. This role designs and runs the systems that turn sales activity into predictable revenue—KPIs, CRM structure, forecasting, pipeline management, and rep accountability.
This is a senior, hands-on role—not a junior analyst or reporting-only position. We are specifically seeking someone who has already built and operated sales infrastructure in a growing organization and can immediately improve clarity, consistency, and results.
While this role includes light marketing support, the primary focus is sales process, execution rigor, data integrity, and revenue performance.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Own all sales KPIs, dashboards, forecasting, and rep scorecards
• Design and enforce sales processes across the full lifecycle
• Serve as end-to-end Zoho CRM owner and ensure a high standard of CRM hygiene
• Conduct pipeline health, forecast accuracy, and ship-to-commit analysis
• Establish accountability frameworks for reps and managers
• Identify sales process gaps and implement fixes
• Build and maintain playbooks, SOPs, and documentation
• Partner with Finance on revenue reporting and commissions inputs
• Analyze accounts for churn, upsell, and margin opportunities
ENABLEMENT, TOOLS & AUTOMATION
• Optimize the CRM (Zoho, Singulate, N8N, Zapier, Make.com)
• Build automated reporting, alerts, and workflows
• Improve territory design, routing, and lead assignment
• Ensure training and documentation remain current
SALES & MARKETING ALIGNMENT (LIGHT)
• Support outbound campaigns with clean data and targeting logic
• Partner with marketing agencies on attribution and ROI
• Maintain sales collateral and messaging accuracy
• Support trade show planning and follow-up workflows
DEMONSTRATED EXPERIENCE (REQUIRED)
This role is intended for experienced sales operations professionals. Candidates must demonstrate:
• 5+ years in Sales Ops, Revenue Ops, or Sales Effectiveness roles
- Experience in logistics, fulfillment, or transportation not required but a strong plus
• Prior ownership of CRM systems and sales processes
• Experience building KPIs, forecasting models, and dashboards from scratch
• Proven ability to hold sales teams accountable through data and process
• Direct partnership with Sales leadership and Finance
• Experience supporting marketing initiatives at a tactical level
Candidates whose experience is primarily limited to reporting, data entry, CRM administration only, or junior analyst roles will not be a fit.
QUALIFICATIONS
• 5+ years of hands-on Sales Operations experience
• Advanced CRM administration skills (Zoho preferred)
• Strong analytical and systems-thinking mindset
• Experience with workflow automation tools
• Excellent cross-functional communication skills
• Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, accountability-driven environment
