The Opportunity
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Business Operations Manager to lead our Optical store network across South Australia. This role is accountable for delivering Optical store operating standards, support customer experience, maintaining financial stability and growth, delivering clinical excellence, and building team performance across the optical network.
Reporting to the Head of Health Services, this role is responsible for continuing the growth of Optical services under our Health Services portfolio.
Skills and Experiences:
Your key responsibilities will be:
- Driving clinical performance across the Optical network
- Maintain healthy relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Achievement of sales budgets and eyecare revenue KPI's
- Contributes to improve annual WHS performance.
- Drive membership growth across the region.
- Ensure Optical stores operate within legislative, regulatory, and clinical practice standards.
- Support Optical Store Managers with operational execution and performance.
- Leading and managing the optical team, fostering a positive and collaborative culture.
- Maintaining knowledge of front-line operation
Ideal Candidate Profile
To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate:
Understanding of optical retail operations and clinical optometry environments
Proven track record in driving sales, service, and operational excellence.
Experience coaching and developing large teams.
Strong commercial and financial acumen.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
Ability to drive culture, performance, and change.
You will also require the following qualifications and experience:
- Experience in multi-site management or leadership in an optical or retail health environment
- Optical industry knowledge desirable, optical retail or dispensing certification desirable.
- Tertiary qualification in health, optical science, business, or retail management desirable
