Robert Half Executive Search has been exclusively retained to appoint an accomplished, hands on and strategic CFO for this global, high-growth manufacturing organisation to lead its financial strategy, support international expansion, and ensure the fiscal integrity and performance of a complex, multi-region business.
This is a critical executive role responsible for shaping financial strategy, overseeing group-wide financial operations, and enabling the company’s continued growth across Australia/NZ, the US, Latin America, and Asia.
The company is a well-capitalised, private enterprise entering the next phase of growth, with formal plans to list on the ASX. This role will be instrumental in preparing the business for life as a listed entity.
The Role
As CFO, you will partner closely with the CEO, Board, and executive team to drive strategic financial outcomes, oversee the company’s financial health, and ensure robust reporting and compliance. You will lead the global finance function, enhance financial capability across regions, and play a pivotal role as the business transitions from a private business to a publicly listed entity.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead development and execution of the group’s financial strategy.
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and reporting.
- Manage all finance operations: accounting, cost control, inventory, and revenue recognition.
- Build a fit-for-purpose finance function to support the business as a newly listed entity.
- Implement strong internal controls, compliance frameworks, and regulatory reporting across multiple jurisdictions.
- Facilitating audit processes and ensuring compliance.
- Provide global financial oversight and support expansion into new markets.
- Lead risk management, including liabilities, investments, forex exposure, and raw material hedging.
- Identify and execute procurement cost-reduction initiatives.
- Support M&A, investment evaluation, and fundraising activities.
- Manage key stakeholder relationships, including auditors, advisors, lenders, investors, and the Board.
Your Profile
We are seeking a CFO with:
- Significant experience in senior finance leadership within large, listed organisations, ideally in complex manufacturing.
- A strong track record in financial planning, analysis, strategic leadership, and organisational transformation.
- Deep knowledge of US and Australia/NZ markets; exposure to Latin America or Asia highly regarded.
- Expertise in ERP systems, financial management software, and cost-reduction initiatives.
- Strong capability in forex and raw materials hedging.
- Demonstrated leadership, high integrity, and the ability to convey complex financial information with clarity.
- CPA or CA qualifications or equivalent is required.
