We're seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our growing SaaS business on a part-time contract basis for an initial 6-month period. This is a fantastic opportunity for a seasoned finance leader to provide strategic oversight and hands-on financial leadership during a key phase of our company's development.

Reporting directly to the CEO, you will work closely with our Senior Head of Accounts and collaborate with our external management consulting firm to strengthen financial operations, enhance reporting accuracy, and drive data-informed decision-making. The role focuses on high-level strategy, financial integrity, and process optimisation rather than day-to-day transactional work.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee financial reporting, ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant monthly and quarterly reports (with a strong emphasis on automation).
Partner closely with the Senior Head of Accounts to maintain robust accounting processes and controls.
Work collaboratively with our external management consulting firm on strategic financial initiatives.
Drive integration and automation efforts to streamline financial workflows.
Ensure the right data is captured and maintained in our CRM and Xero systems for reliable insights and reporting.
Provide strategic financial guidance to support business growth and operational efficiency in a SaaS environment.

Experience Required:

Proven experience as a CFO (minimum 5+ years) in a senior finance leadership capacity.
At least 15 years of progressive experience in accounting, financial reporting, and CFO-level roles.
Direct experience in a SaaS or subscription-based business modeL.
Strong hands-on familiarity with Xero.
Practical experience with CRM systems (data capture, integration, and reporting).
Demonstrated expertise in integration, automation, and automating monthly/quarterly reporting processes.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with senior leadership, internal teams, and external consultants.
Available for 1-2 days per week (flexible scheduling, approximately 8-16 hours).
