About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Deal Desk Specialist to support the sales organization in structuring, reviewing, and approving complex deals. The Deal Desk Specialist will work cross-functionally with Sales, Legal, Finance, and Product teams to ensure pricing, commercial terms, and contract provisions align with company policies while accelerating deal velocity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the central point of contact for all deal structuring and approval requests from the sales team.
- Review, validate, and optimize deal terms, pricing, margins, and commercial provisions.
- Ensure compliance with internal pricing policies, discounting guidelines, and approval workflows.
- Collaborate with Sales, Finance, Legal, and Product teams to address deal complexities and bottlenecks.
- Develop and maintain standard processes, templates, and playbooks for deal submissions and approvals.
- Monitor deal pipelines to identify risk areas, trends, and opportunities for improvement.
- Provide analytics and insights on deal performance, win/loss trends, and pricing effectiveness.
- Support contract reviews for key commercial clauses in collaboration with Legal.
- Train sales teams on deal desk processes, tools, and best practices.
- Manage deal desk tools and systems (CPQ, Salesforce, Excel models, etc.).
Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field.
- 4–6 years of experience in sales operations, pricing, deal structuring, finance, or consulting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Comfort working with CRM systems and spreadsheet tools (Excel, Google Sheets).
Preferred:
- Prior experience in a Deal Desk or Pricing/Revenue Operations role.
- Familiarity with CPQ tools (Salesforce CPQ, Conga, Apttus, etc.).
- MBA or advanced business certification.
- Experience in SaaS or technology industry.
