About ARIVE
ARIVE is a privately held, founder-led, high-growth fintech company revolutionizing digital mortgage originations. We are hiring a hands-on Finance & Operations leader to own our financial infrastructure, manage business processes, and support our growing team of 40+. This is a strategic role for a "doer" who is comfortable driving financial records/strategy and executing the operational details that keep our business running.
What you’ll do
- Own Accounting & Bookkeeping: Manage the full General Ledger in QuickBooks Online; own the monthly close, accurate coding, journal entries, and reconciliations (Bank, Credit Cards, AP/AR). Manage cash flow and working capital to ensure operational efficiency. Ensure we are audit-ready at all times.
- Revenue & SaaS Ops: Oversee invoicing, reconciliations, AR aging, and collections. Manage software/vendor spend, optimizing subscriptions, paying vendor invoices, and finding savings opportunities.
- Taxes & Compliance: Coordinate timely federal/state/local filings with the CPA; maintain a compliance calendar (state nexus, licenses, registrations, insurance policies) and monitor/file/remit sales/use taxes as applicable.
- People Operations: Administer US payroll (Gusto) and incentives, 401(k) compliance, and health/corporate benefits. Manage employee records and state-level labor compliance. Partner with leadership to budget and execute team events and collaboration initiatives. Coordinate and drive performance review cycles.
- Business Operations & Administration: Drive operational and administrative support across departments, acting as the primary liaison for corporate matters (vendors, legal counsel, HQ and event logistics, etc.). Manage the CEO’s strategic calendar to prioritize high-impact engagements.
What we’re looking for
- Experience: 10+ years of progressive, hands-on accounting/finance + operations experience with full General Ledger ownership and accrual accounting in a growing SMB (tech/fintech preferred).
- Education: BS/BA in Accounting, Finance, Operations, or related field; CPA or Master’s is a plus.
- Technical & AI Proficiency: Expert in QuickBooks Online, Excel modeling, SaaS metrics, Gusto, and Bill.com and expense management tools. Comfortable using AI tools to automate routine workflows (e.g., data entry, reconciliation) for maximum velocity and efficiency.
- Operations & Administration: You have successfully handled business operations and logistics in the past, such as planning team offsites, client events, or managing office administration.
- Trust & Discretion: You will handle sensitive data (payroll, strategy, accounting, cash) with absolute integrity.
- Location: Must be based in the Bay Area and able to come into the office as needed for key collaboration and operational needs.
Benefits:
- Competitive base salary and performance-based bonuses. Total compensation will be determined based on the candidate’s experience and skill set.
- Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance with 401(k) matching.
- Hybrid work culture with flexible scheduling.
- Opportunities for professional growth and leadership development.
- A supportive, inclusive, and high-performance company culture.
