The Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) is responsible for leading and aligning all revenue-generating functions across the organization, including sales, business development, client growth, and revenue strategy. This executive will drive sustainable revenue growth, optimize go-to-market execution, and build scalable processes while partnering closely with the CEO and executive leadership team. The role requires a strong financial services or regulated industry background, including an active or previously held Series 6 or Series 7 license.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and execute the company’s overall revenue strategy, including sales, account management, and growth initiatives.
- Lead and scale high-performing sales and revenue teams, ensuring alignment across channels and markets.
- Develop and optimize go-to-market strategies, pricing models, and client acquisition frameworks.
- Drive forecasting accuracy, pipeline management, and performance metrics to support predictable revenue growth.
- Partner with Marketing, Finance, Compliance, and Operations to ensure revenue strategies align with regulatory and financial requirements.
- Oversee key client relationships, strategic partnerships, and enterprise-level negotiations.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory standards and compliance requirements associated with Series 6 or Series 7 environments.
- Present revenue performance, forecasts, and growth strategies to executive leadership and the Board of Directors.
- Evaluate and implement sales technology, CRM tools, and data-driven insights to improve efficiency and outcomes.
- Identify new market opportunities, products, and distribution channels to expand revenue streams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in revenue, sales, or business development roles.
- Series 6 or Series 7 license required (active or eligible to reactivate).
- Proven success leading revenue growth in a financial services, investment, insurance, or similarly regulated environment.
- Strong understanding of compliance, licensing, and regulatory considerations impacting revenue generation.
- Demonstrated ability to build, scale, and lead executive-level sales and revenue teams.
- Exceptional strategic, analytical, and communication skills with executive presence.
