Role Description
We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Fractional CFO to partner with our leadership team during a critical growth phase. You will be responsible for transforming our financial function from basic bookkeeping to investor-grade readiness. Your primary objectives are to build a robust, integrated financial model, professionalize our reporting, and ensure we are "due diligence ready".
Responsibilities
Strategic Financial Modeling & Forecasting
- Develop a dynamic 3-year financial model that integrates P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow.
- Model the nuances of our revenue streams SaaS (subscription) and Tech-Enabled Services (subscription) and consultancy.
- Create scenario analyses to guide strategic decision-making.
- Implement rigorous Revenue Recognition policies to ensure SaaS revenue is tracked accurately.
Investor Readiness
- Prepare "Board-ready" monthly financial packets and reporting dashboards.
- Establish and track core SaaS Metrics (ARR, Net Revenue Retention, Magic Number) alongside Service Metrics (Gross Margin per Service, Utilization Rates).
- Lead the preparation of a virtual data room for future due diligence.
Skills and Experience
- Proven experience in EdTech or a similar high-growth SaaS/Services hybrid.
- Experience navigating Series A or B rounds, including interacting with PE firms.
- Ability to pivot from board-level strategy to fixing a broken chart of accounts.
- Expert-level Excel/Google Sheets skills with a focus on "clean," auditable formulas.
