Position Overview
At Merrithew, we are committed to inspiring people worldwide to lead healthier lives through mindful movement. The Director of Sales Operations & Planning plays a pivotal role in advancing that mission by designing and optimizing the commercial operating system that powers our global growth.
This role brings rigor, clarity, and innovation to how we manage inbound demand, govern our CRM, uphold pricing discipline, forecast performance, and standardize sales processes across both Merrithew and Align. The ideal candidate blends strategic insight with operational mastery, supporting our teams in delivering exceptional experiences to partners, customers, and practitioners around the world.
Key Responsibilities
Strengthen the Global Inbound Engine
- Build and manage a high-performing inbound workflow that ensures every lead is responded to promptly and routed effectively.
- Develop qualification standards and optimize handoffs to create a seamless prospect experience.
- Measure and refine conversion funnels using segmentation, scoring models, and performance insights.
Champion CRM Excellence
- Serve as the global steward of CRM processes, maintaining data quality, pipeline consistency, and system alignment across all regions.
- Define best practices for documentation, reporting, automation, and adoption—empowering teams with reliable insights and efficient workflows.
- Partner closely with Sales, Marketing, and IT to evolve and enhance the commercial tech stack.
Guide Pricing Governance & Commercial Integrity
- Maintain global pricing structures across both brands, ensuring consistency and transparency.
- Establish and manage discounting guidelines, approval frameworks, and compliance procedures.
- Work with Finance to align pricing strategies with margin requirements and growth objectives.
Deliver Insightful Forecasts & Performance Analytics
- Lead global forecasting processes, reinforcing accuracy, accountability, and foresight in revenue planning.
- Develop dashboards and performance scorecards that provide leaders with timely, actionable insights.
- Translate data into strategic recommendations that elevate decision-making across teams.
Facilitate Cross-Functional Partnership
- Collaborate with Marketing to ensure alignment on attribution, segmentation, campaign routing, and lead handoff.
- Work with Product, Finance, and Operations to maintain a cohesive and scalable commercial strategy.
- Support Sales Enablement in documenting processes, developing training, and improving adoption of best practices.
Key Performance Indicators
- Lead Conversion Speed & Rate – Reflecting responsiveness and funnel efficiency
- Forecast Accuracy – Enabling confident planning and resource allocation
- CRM Completeness & Data Integrity – Ensuring a trusted commercial foundation
- Pipeline Velocity – Tracking momentum and effectiveness of sales execution
- Pricing Compliance – Maintaining governance, consistency, and margin protection
Qualifications
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in Sales Operations, Revenue Operations, Commercial Strategy, or a related field, including people leadership responsibilities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Economics, or a related discipline required.
- Proven track record of building and scaling commercial operating systems, including inbound lead management, CRM governance, forecasting, and performance analytics.
- Demonstrated experience designing, documenting, and standardizing processes that improve conversion rates, pipeline velocity, and overall sales effectiveness.
- Strong expertise in CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce or equivalent), including data integrity, reporting, automation, and user adoption.
- Experience establishing and managing pricing governance frameworks, discounting controls, and approval workflows in partnership with Finance.
- Advanced analytical capabilities, with the ability to translate complex data into clear insights and strategic recommendations for senior leadership.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, with experience partnering closely with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Product, Operations, and IT.
- Exceptional communication and change-management skills, with the ability to influence, align, and enable teams across regions.
- Experience operating in a global, multi-brand, or matrixed organization is an asset.
