Looking for a Qualified Chartered Accountant for the Revenue Operations team.
Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive finance professional to join our team as a Revenue Recognition Specialist. This role is critical in ensuring accurate revenue recognition, compliance with Ind AS, and delivering insightful MIS reports to support business decision-making. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, strong knowledge of Ind AS and ability to collaborate across functions to drive efficiency and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure accurate and timely revenue recognition in line with applicable Ind AS.
- Collaborate with internal Tech team to implement revenue accounting systems and automation.
- Review customer contracts, billing terms and milestones to evaluate revenue recognition.
- Liaise with Legal and Business teams to obtain clarity on terms that impact revenue accounting.
- Partner with business teams to resolve revenue-related queries and provide guidance on accounting treatment.
- Ensure compliance with GST and other regulatory norms related to revenue & invoicing process.
- Prepare and deliver monthly MIS reports on revenue, KPIs, and revenue trends.
- Highlight key concerns in revenue and accounts receivable and recommend corrective actions to stakeholders.
- Lead the monthly, quarterly and annual revenue accounting close activities.
- Review monthly balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring accuracy, completeness and timely resolution of discrepancies.
- Maintain strong internal controls to ensure data integrity and reliability of financial reporting.
- Continuously identify opportunities for process improvement in reporting and reconciliations.
- Provide on the job training to the team members.
Desired Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of Ind AS and revenue recognition principles.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and manage timelines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems (SAP preferred).
- Familiarity with GST regulations and other statutory compliance requirements.
