This CFO role exists to build financial leverage, capital discipline, and decision velocity as the platform scales in unit count, operational complexity, and technology depth. This is a hands-on operator CFO role with real ownership across finance, technology economics, and growth underwriting.

Scope of Ownership
The CFO will have direct ownership of:
Accounting & Close Discipline
- Oversight of Senior Controller and accounting operations
- Accuracy, timeliness, and scalability of financial reporting
Payroll
- Payroll strategy, accuracy, compliance, and labor cost visibility
- Alignment across Paycom, labor reporting, and financial systems
FP&A & Budget Ownership
- Full ownership of annual budgets and reforecasts
- Lead rolling forecasts and long-range financial planning
- Partner with Operations, IT, and Development on budget discipline
- Ensure spend aligns with strategic priorities and ROI
Treasury & Cash Management
- Liquidity planning, working capital discipline, and cash controls
- Banking relationships and cash visibility during growth
Development & Construction Financial Oversight
- Financial oversight of corporate-owned new store development and construction
- CapEx budgeting, cost tracking, and ROI / payback discipline
- Early identification of cost overruns and timeline risk
Opportunity Underwriting & Growth Evaluation
Underwrite new opportunities including:
- Corporate-owned new store openings
- Market expansions
- New concepts or brand extensions
- Strategic partnerships
- Build and pressure-test pro formas and return profiles.
Systems, Technology & AI Economics
Own finance systems strategy across:
- Restaurant365
- Sage
- Paycom
- POS platforms (Toast, Aloha, or similar)
Work alongside IT to evaluate, budget, and prioritize:
- Technology platforms
- Data warehouses
- BI tools
- AI and automation initiatives
Ensure technology and AI investments are:
- Budgeted
- ROI-driven
- Scalable
- Operationally adopted

Ideal Candidate Profile
- 10–20 years of progressive finance leadership
- Significant multi-unit, corporate-owned restaurant experience (required)
- Prior CFO or VP Finance role in an operating business
- Experience owning budgets across Ops, IT, and Development
- Strong technology, data, and AI fluency
- Comfortable in founder-led environments
