MY Development Corp. is a privately held commercial real estate development, investment, and management firm based in Las Vegas, Nevada. The company focuses on ground-up development, value-add acquisitions, and long-term ownership of retail, industrial, and mixed-use properties throughout the Las Vegas Valley.
As the company continues to grow, we are seeking a hands-on financial leader to oversee accounting operations, financial reporting, and strategic financial planning across multiple entities and development projects.
Position Overview
We are looking for a Controller or CFO-level professional (title commensurate with experience) to lead the company’s accounting and financial functions. This role will work directly with ownership and play a key role in managing financial operations, improving reporting systems, and supporting development and investment decisions.
This is an ideal position for someone who is comfortable operating in a growing, entrepreneurial real estate environment and can manage both day-to-day accounting and high-level financial strategy.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Financial Management
- Oversee all accounting functions across multiple entities.
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Manage general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and bank reconciliations.
- Oversee property-level accounting and CAM reconciliations.
- Maintain accurate financial records and internal controls.
Development & Project Finance
- Track construction budgets, draws, and job costs.
- Monitor project cash flows and capital expenditures.
- Assist with underwriting, financing, and refinancing activities.
- Coordinate with lenders, investors, and outside consultants.
Investor & Partner Reporting
- Prepare investor reports and financial summaries.
- Track capital contributions, distributions, and partnership structures.
- Assist with financial presentations and capital raising efforts.
Systems & Process Improvement
- Evaluate and implement improved accounting or property management systems.
- Develop standardized reporting templates and procedures.
- Establish internal controls and financial policies.
Strategic Responsibilities (CFO-Level Candidates)
- Provide financial guidance on acquisitions, developments, and dispositions.
- Assist with capital structuring and lender negotiations.
- Support long-term business planning and growth strategy.
Qualifications Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 5+ years of accounting experience (Controller level).
- Experience with commercial real estate accounting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Yardi, AppFolio, or similar).
- Strong Excel and financial modeling skills.
- Experience with multi-entity accounting structures.
Preferred
- CPA or advanced accounting/finance designation.
- 8–12+ years of experience (for CFO-level candidates).
- Experience with development accounting and construction draws.
- Background working with investors, partnerships, or private real estate firms.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $100,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
