We are at the "zero-to-one" stage. This role is not about following a playbook - it is about writing it alongside the founders.
About the Team
Spur.fit was founded by two IIT Kharagpur alumni and lifelong fitness enthusiasts. With backgrounds spanning technology, AI/ML, endurance sports, and business building, we have combined our expertise to solve the operational challenges faced by fitness businesses globally. We are lean, ambitious, and obsessed with delivering value.
Why This Role Matters
You will operate as an extension of the founders, focusing specifically on unlocking our Go-To-Market (GTM) strategy. You aren't just selling; you are validating hypotheses, discovering new channels, and building the infrastructure for scale.
- Strategic Scope: You will test new markets, refine our Ideal Customer Profile (ICP), and iterate on positioning.
- Execution: You will still get your hands dirty closing deals, but with the goal of finding repeatable patterns.
- Impact: Your work will directly influence the product roadmap and the future organizational structure of the sales team.
What You’ll Do
GTM Strategy & Experimentation
- Run rapid GTM experiments to identify the most effective channels for acquiring U.S. SMB/mid-market customers (gyms, studios, trainers).
- Refine messaging and positioning based on real-time market feedback.
- Analyze conversion data to sharpen our ICP and focus our resources on high-ROI segments.
Full-Cycle Sales Execution
- Drive the initial sales pipeline from prospecting to close to prove out the model.
- Manage outbound campaigns and pilot inbound strategies (content, partnerships).
- Own the "unscalable" work required to get our first cohort of evangelist customers.
RevOps & Infrastructure
- Build the GTM stack: Implement the CRM, set up automation tools, and create reporting dashboards.
- Document the sales process into a repeatable playbook for future hires.
Product Feedback Loop
- Act as the primary bridge between the market and the product team.
- Synthesize customer objections and feature requests into actionable insights for the founders.
Who You Are
- A "Full-Stack" Operator: You are comfortable writing cold emails one hour, analyzing churn data the next, and pitching to a gym owner in the US the hour after that.
- High Agency & ownership: You don't wait for instructions. You identify bottlenecks in growth and propose solutions.
- First-Principles Thinker: You don't just copy what others do; you understand why it works and adapt it to the fitness tech landscape.
- Tech-Savvy: You are comfortable with low-code tools, AI automation, and setting up workflows (Zapier, Clay, HubSpot, etc.).
- Excellent Communicator: You can distill complex product features into simple benefits for customers and clear insights for the internal team.
