Led by serial entrepreneur and CEO Terence Mak, IsWhere is transforming how Destination Marketing Organizations (DMOs) market themselves. We are replacing fragmented, static travel info with a location-based, interactive, real-time living global map. By empowering DMOs to co-market with their entire local ecosystem—merchants, attractions, and airlines—we are creating a "win-win-win" that drives massive value for local economies, merchants (including hotels) and attractions, travelers and locals, and airlines alike.
With our 2026 Global Consumer Rollout fast approaching, we are involving major countries, states, and cities in our grand worldwide launch. To navigate this immense complexity and enormous scale, we are looking for a CFO and Co-Founder to join our Core Leadership team.
The Role: Strategic Architect & Financial Pillar
This is not a "desk job." You will work side-by-side with the Core Founders to build the financial, regulatory and legal backbone of an up-and-coming future global giant. Your core responsibilities will include:
• Group-Level Strategy: Structure our entire global legal entity framework across multiple countries.
• Infrastructure & Systems: Set up world-class finance systems, accounting, and audit frameworks from the ground up.
• Compliance & Governance: Ensure 100% compliance with international taxation, financial regulations, licensing, and cross-border requirements.
• Cash Flow Mastery: Manage multi-country revenue streams, ensure expense obligations are met, and maintain rigorous financial procedural frameworks.
• Strategic Advisory: Serve as a key advisor to the core team on revenue optimization, profit accounting, and global scaling.
Non-Negotiable Requirements
We are ONLY looking for Top-Notch CFO applicants with Global Experience. Please ONLY apply if you meet all these SIX (6) MANDATORY criteria:
1. Expert-Level Global Taxation Expertise & Experience: Extremely solid experience in designing and managing complex global tax structures is mandatory. You must be an expert in multi-jurisdictional legal entity setups, international tax compliance, and cross-border financial optimization.
2. Global Startup Pedigree: You have solid CFO-level leadership and strategy-related experiences to date, have "rolled up your sleeves" in complex, fast-paced globally successful startup environments. Added experiences with established global conglomerates will be useful. You thrive in the "build" and “scale” phase and aren't afraid of the grit required to establish an incredibly promising global platform that’s poised to take the world by storm.
3. Skin in the Game: You believe in the vision enough to invest your own funds into the project for equity. This is a Co-Founder role; we want a Core Team Inner-Circle Strategic Partner, not just an Employee.
4. Elite Financial Architecture Experience: You possess a powerhouse background in finance, business, and strategy with globally successful startups and highly reputable global organizations. Solid experience in designing and managing complex global tax structures is mandatory. You must be an expert in multi-jurisdictional legal entity setups, international tax compliance, and cross-border financial optimization.
5. Full-Time Position: We need you to commit to IsWhere on a full-time basis to fulfill all your responsibilities effectively, promptly, with utmost clarity and strategically.
6. Your Location: You MUST be physically based in the United States (or in a major city in Europe).
